Why Remesh Instead of Replace?
The economics are straightforward: the frame is the expensive part. Quality aluminum frames represent a meaningful investment, and the mesh is a consumable. When mesh wears out, loses tension, or gets damaged, the frame itself is almost certainly still good.
Remeshing lets you recover that investment rather than write it off. Depending on frame size and mesh count, remeshing typically costs significantly less than purchasing a comparable new screen.

Mesh Counts
We remesh in the full range from 110 to 305. Whether you're running heavy specialty inks at the low end or fine halftone and process work at the high end, we can match the mesh count you need.
- 110–135 — lower mesh counts for heavy ink deposits, high-opacity whites, and specialty applications
- 156–160 — the workhorses of most general-purpose and spot color shops
- 180–200 — solid mid-range for finer detail work and thinner ink films
- 230–280 — high mesh for halftone work, fine text, and tighter detail
- 305 — fine detail and process printing applications
Frame Types and Sizes
We work with any rigid frame material — aluminum and wood both — up to a maximum size of 20x24 inches. Frames must be clean and free of old mesh, adhesive residue, ink, and emulsion before drop-off. Frames that arrive with old mesh still attached or with significant paint or chemical buildup will need to be cleaned before we can remesh them. There is a cleaning fee added for screens that come to us unclean.

Frame Preparation — What We Need From You
This is the part that makes or breaks a remesh job. We need bare, clean frames to work with — adhesive won't bond properly to a frame with old mesh adhesive, ink contamination, or emulsion residue still on it. Bringing us unprepared frames will add time and cost to your order.
Here's what 'ready to remesh' means:
- Old mesh completely removed — no mesh remnants or staples remaining on the frame
- Adhesive residue cleaned off — the frame surface needs to be clean for the new adhesive to bond correctly
- No ink buildup, emulsion residue, or chemical contamination on the frame surface
- No paint on the frame — masked or painted frames need to be cleaned back to bare material
- Frame structurally sound — check for warping, bent corners, or damaged grooves on aluminum frames before dropping off
